ABOUT US
OVERVIEW
In 1978, a group of boaters approached the City of Scarborough with the idea of starting a non-profit, self-help club that would cater to both power and sail boats with a simple all-inclusive fee structure. The site would be the majestic Cathedral Bluffs beside the soft sands of Bluffer's Park Beach, just 20 minutes from downtown Toronto. The fun, friendship and camaraderie still flourish today at CBYC with over 200 slips on 11 floating docks that accommodate both power and mono-hull sail boats. With the all-inclusive fee including launch, unlimited pump-outs, mast crane usage, haul out, hull-power wash, winter storage and more, CBYC is considered one of the best values on the lake.
CBYC: NOT YOUR TYPICAL YACHT CLUB
The club atmosphere is casual with a diverse membership that's approximately 60 sail/40 power. Both seasoned and new boaters alike enjoy the benefits of being part of a caring, respectful community, while the club is managed securely with common sense rules. Members enjoy belonging to a club they can proudly share with friends and family.
CLUBHOUSE / RESTAURANT
The jewel in the CBYC crown, our clubhouse is home to many CBYC events and activities and the highly regarded restaurant is a popular dining experience for both CBYC members and reciprocal visitors from other clubs.
BLUFFS, BEACHES AND PARKS
The obvious perks and benefits of being a member aren't limited to the Club itself. CBYC is surrounded by stunning Bluffs, sandy beaches, beautiful landscapes, trails and lush parklands... all within a short walking distance. Both the main beach and the secluded lagoon feature stunning views of the Bluffs and a soft sandy bottom for shallow anchoring.
