A Message from Carson Woods, CBYC's Rep for the Lake Ontario 300...

"In years past, CBYC has been a power house in racer participation, with many notable successes including MacIntosh, Amerone, Kiplin, Zigzag,Scotch rocks, Alexbrae, Chariot,Nemesis etc., etc..

With the increase in interest, the organisers are holding their monthly committee meetings on a rotation through the local clubs that support the race...The next meeting is at CBYC, March 9th.,Tuesday night ( Darts Night, so food and drink is available) and the committee will be in the bar from 6.00pm onwards, to answer questions and provide information to our members. The committee will withdraw at 7.00pm to hold the monthly meeting, away from the darts areas.

In my other role as "Safety Director" for the race I have convinced RCYC to host a full day Safety at Sea seminar to the strict high standards demanded by US Sailing. It is open to our members, power and sail, principally for short handed cruisers safetyatsea.ca is the website, some registration forms are in the notice board area, and early birds get $ 40.00 off before March Ist."
